what the day leaves…

Daily Operation ⏪ April 2019

8/6/25

In this installment, you get to witness my transition from New York to Washington, D.C. With many trips and time spent in the District over the last ten years (at the time), this move signaled the beginning of a new chapter—a new relationship. Once again, I was parting ways with my biggest muse, New York City, and adopting D.C. as a new focal point in my work. I had to accept that the universe was moving me (us) into the future. Time, again, to expand my horizons.

We humans often fight the universal flow because we become married to our dreams and ideas, visualizing the specifics of how we want situations to materialize. But most times, we don’t imagine big enough—or realize that we may get exactly what we want (and more), even if it doesn’t look anything like what we envisioned.

As much as I wanted to stay, I knew it was time to part ways—for a while. But I also knew I wouldn’t be far, and the visits would be many. I wasn’t losing—I was gaining, expanding. And with that expansion came clarity: no matter where I go, my feelings will never change. Your energy is always with me, fueling me when I’m not near. It has shaped a large part of who I am and continues to inform my perspective.

And with that epiphany, I was free to enjoy the new adventure ahead.

If you’ve been following (or decide to look back through older posts), you’ll notice I’ve shared images from travels outside of NYC. But the Daily Operation posts before now were all images of New York. From this point on, D.C. will be showcased too. ✌🏽❤️
